Jacob Events partnership with BridgeAfric for a workshop happening next month at BICC

It appears that Alankhula and Wendy Harawa are expressing concerns about the limited international recognition of Malawian artists and the infrequent reception of global awards. They suggest that Malawian music videos played on international TV channels are often limited in exposure, gaining attention for only a short period.

Additionally, they mention the yearly receipt of only a few internationally recognized awards without any global recognition. To address these challenges, Jacob Events, led by Wendy Harawa, is collaborating with BridgeAfric for a workshop scheduled to take place on the 23rd of March at the BICC. During this event, BridgeAfric, represented by its President Victoria Nkong, will launch in Malawi. The workshop will feature prominent figures such as the President of Afrimma awards, Grammy award-winning producers, executives from Trace TV, and international music business executives. The primary goal of the workshop is to bridge the gap between Malawian artists and their counterparts across Africa. It aims to provide insights into the global music business, fostering a better understanding among Malawian artists.

The presence of influential personalities from the music industry suggests an effort to create more opportunities for Malawian artists by establishing connections and collaborations on an international scale. Overall, the workshop appears to be a strategic initiative to elevate the visibility and success of Malawian artists in the global music industry.
